Snow Shoe Lili
We just had a great weekend on the mountain of Stoos. Wolfram and Claudia have a winter cabin up there with many amenities. They were kind enough to invite us for the weekend and it was fabulous. Getting there was a bit tricky. Getting anywhere with Lili is tricky for us, but add a cable car and India... We are just not accustomed to bringing along extras for a third! That's our excuse for not having the camera! You will have to make mind pictures. As for the forgotten diapers? Well, ask Rene.

The first day we are up in the Swiss mountains we took Lili out for a very brief snow shoe hike. She is wrapped in multiple layers with her pink down snow suit over the top. Wolfram and Rene rigged up a small sled with the Ergo carrier (wish we had a picture of that). Lili was a real sport and enjoyed the adventure a great deal. She did let us know when it was time to come home though! (about 20 minutes out). The following day we were less and more adventurous. Rene carried Lili on his back and we hiked (in snow shoes) up to a traditional Swiss chalet/restaurant. It was a beautiful, sunny day. The tiny restaurant played traditional Swiss fair in the background. Rene brought back a chunk of Stoos cheese (they make their own there)... not bad. Lili ate a wienerli (hot dog) and we all has Sauermoscht (an apple cider-- not unlike woodpecker or strongbow... a little stronger though). It was an adventure unlike any we have had before... or would ever have if we did not live in Switzerland. It was a perfect day.
