NEW NEWS!!! NEWS FLASH!!! WE'RE ACTUALLY GOING TO CHINA!
It's official. We got our permission to travel to China. Our Consulate appointment in Guangzou to finalize the adoption is on NOVEMBER 20. Another special day for us to celebrate. That means we will travel to China and meet our baby BEFORE that day. We recently learned that we will not have to take her to the US for a passport stamp before bringing her to Swizerland. Unfortunately, it means we will not see friends and family there until Christmas. On the positive side, it will be less traveling and consequently less stress for our daughter. We decided that taking her away from the only home she has ever known is enough stress for one month. We expect to leave Switzerland on November 10th or 11th. We have to be in Chongquing to meet Fu Xi on November 13th (GOTCHA Day). We will be the only family from WACAP traveling at that time (usually in China you receive your children in groups). I think that is lucky.
We are beyond ecstatic! Our world is about to be turned upside down and inside out and we can't wait! We hope to use this site to keep everyone posted while we are in China. Please keep checking it out. Great things to come!
