These are more like the costumes you might see in Switzerland. Here it is not called carnival, it is Fassnacht. Many people participate in these marching bands... the music is supposed to push out the winter weather so spring can come. They play familiar songs well enough to be recognized, but just badly enough that there is no problem with copyright laws. Seriously... this is intentional.





O.K. Italy is just gorgeous. The architecture in this country astounds me. It is so romantic and classic. This is in Padova.
