It's a beautiful day in Atlanta! I love the sun!!! Rene leaves for Switzerland tomorrow :( Already? A month goes by so fast. We've had some good traffic coming through the house. Maybe we'll sell it before this summer. Know anyone looking for a cozy 2 bedroom, 2 bath in Atlanta? It's actually quite cute without a lot of the clutter:) Check it out our house on the web. Ours is the "feature home" on Marbut Ave. I will be spending much of my time in Decatur with the Straders and Mom & Dad. (So much so that I've gotten permission to move IN !@#$). I look forward to spending as much time with little Izzy as possible. Soon I will be sooo far away.... and I need her to remember her TIA! I can't believe she'll be a year old in just a month!

So what's new? Our adoption referral could come in 2 weeks or it could be 3 months before we hear anything. Over 1,200 dossiers went to China in June along with ours. It's a lot for the CCAA (China Center for Adoption Affairs) to go through. (Check out CCAApics, or link on sidebar "CCAApics01"). They have pictures of stacks and stacks of dossiers from different agencies. Pretty impressive.

So the plan is...If we travel to China in June (that means we would have a referral by April), we will bring the baby back to Atlanta long enough to get him/her a passport (Rene is sure it will be a boy, despite the odds...We'll rethink Lilu then... go figure). Then I might stay in Atlanta tying up loose ends until July or August while Rene scopes out real estate. We will then move to Switzerland over the summer. OR If we don't have a referral by May, we probably won't journey to China before August. In that case, I will join Rene in Switzerland, get as moved in and settled as we can before getting the baby, return to Atlanta with our baby from China... wait for the passport, and go back to Switzerland together. Wow. That's my preferred scenario at this time. AND all plans are subject to change within 15 minutes of being written here. Hmhh.

So at some point in the future... you will see pictures of our journey to China, new baby, and new home on this blog. It will be more entertaining with pictures most assuredly. In the mean time... How about a small wager to make it interesting ...Let's say a basket of fine Swiss chocolates will go to the winner!
