Yes! We will actually travel to China. We have finally confirmed our airline reservations. I also met with a pediatrician today. Dr. Wyss could not have been kinder. She was reluctant, but in the end she supplied us with an ample medical kit "just in case". Of course, we hope we will need it very little if at all. Take a look: And we're supposed to travel light? I guess Rene and I can share clothes and shoes?

Hiking Pilatus.

Oct. 7th. We went on a hike up Mt. Pilatus. (2132 m/ 6994 ft). Mt. Pilatus is one of the more famous mountains near Lucern.

The sky was clear and the temperature quite comfortable. Perfect for a hike. The hike started around 11.00 and lasted nearly four hours.

What was really cool about this hike was that Erika and I finally got to use our hiking poles. For months we have seen the locals use these poles and we wanted to know what all the fuss was about. I can tell you that they are quite useful on the very steep sections of the mountain. If we ever want to be considered as semi-serious hikers this is one of the basic must haves.

The views from the top of the mountain were quite spectacular. Erika and I had a great time. Thankfully we took the Cog Train to the base of the mountain. I need to save my knees!

Greetings from the top of Switzerland.
