Oh my! Have we got our hands full? Lili is fabulous. Let me think. She loves to push her babies in a little stroller. She is willing to walk quite a bit further if we take the thing along. I guess it makes her feel big. She loves to swing and spin on the playground. She is so tall these days ... it's crazy. She is now exactly 34 inches tall and weighs about 26 pounds. People think she is older than she is ... I guess because she didn't retain a lot of baby fat like some babies do.
She still eats like a fiend and "welcome to the world of sugar!" She loves gummi bears and begs for them one at a time. She holds up her index finger as if to say "just one", but it doesn't generally end there. She still enjoys painting, though we are no longer limited to paper. Rene and I found her in the yard very carefully painting rocks the other day. She picked up some large rocks and carefully placed them on a cardboard box from our recycling bin. Then she sat down to paint them. We thought it quite funny because she was so proud to show us her accomplishments. We also have some colorful spots on walls in the house. Oh well. She can say quite a few words and continues to repeat a lot, but not conversational yet.

Rene is still enjoying his job here. He is busy and at times frantic to get things done, but he is making a lot of progress with his project. Today he is in Frankfurt for the day. Who knows where he will travel next. At least this one is a short trip. Lili and I miss him when he travels alone. I don't know how we keep so busy. It feels like we do nothing, but we never seem to have enough time to do anything (evidenced by blog blanks). Well, errands are incredibly time (and energy) consuming if you don't have a car. And keeping a tidy house with a midget following to "help" is a real challenge. Today I unloaded all of the recycling bottles into a bag to take on our walk. I left to get our jackets and came back to find them placed neatly in the cabinet again. Lili was so proud. She helped me put them back in the bag. I turned to do something else and she was sorting all of her dishes, utensils and cups out on her table. O.K. got those put away. What's next? She is still naked and mopping the wet floor after her bath... with wads of toilet paper! Thanks! Nothing is every quite finished. Don't get me started on her "help" folding laundry.
